Farsoon Europe GmbH, located in Stuttgart, Germany, and Modellbau Kurz GmbH & Co KG, headquartered in Gerlingen, Germany, signed a joint development agreement regarding the beta-testing of Farsoon Continuous Additive Manufacturing System HT1001P. Scope is the development of an optimized “beta-HT1001P-system” towards technical readiness level for full commercialization and for highly productive operations in fabrication of functional parts.

To part-time work with Modellbau Kurz on site, Farsoon has delegated an experienced engineer from China to Farsoon Europe GmbH in Stuttgart.

The Farsoon HT1001P system enables the fabrication of large parts (build envelop of 1000 x 500 x 450 mm³) with engineering plastics, such as reinforced PA6. With the HT1001P system Modellbau Kurz in addition targets the production of many parts at substantially lower costs. Modellbau Kurz will be able to better serve customers for instance in automotive industry.

Additive Manufacturing is the defined term related to the production of parts using methods of delivering materials on a layer by layer basis until the completion of a computer-aided designed (CAD) software programmed part becomes a solid modeled part to be used in end-use applications in many industrial applications such as aerospace, medical devices, automotive, and many consumer products. Additive manufacturing has been flourishing over the last twenty years and is becoming a part of the normal ecosystem for product development and production in the global marketplace.

Farsoon Technologies, founded in 2009 in China, is a system supplier of industrial grade plastic laser sintering and metal laser melting systems Farsoon has developed a team of world-class experts with competencies in electrical/mechanical engineering, laser, scanning and optics, thermal controls, as well as material development and applications engineering. As a globally diverse company, Farsoon was founded with the clear vision and core commitment to creating open platform systems which will give the industry the freedom to innovate and expand the implementation of additive manufacturing in the global product’s marketplace.
